#BanSterlite. The ongoing protest against the sterlite industries in thoothukudi is a prime concern for the present state government. As long as two decades ago the then admk government granted permission for the sterlite industries to commence operations at thoothukudi though it was refused in some other states like goa, maharastra, gujarat etc. Of late claiming lives of thirteen protesters, whistle blows the current situation of the protests and the seriousness on the issue.
